We have 15 reviews on TrustPilot. All these 15 reviews say just one thing, “This is a fake fraud company”. Now if you accept this at face value, we understand, we now live in a world where misinformation and disinformation is weaponized, identifying reality from sophisticated organized dis-information campaigns is very hard. One measurement distinguishing genuine information from false is the level of detail given, the more detail that can be verified the more likely the information is genuine.
However a more critical person might be curious about the style of reviews, they look like they were written by the same person, and they were concentrated over a short period, especially during September 2021. A histogram of the reviews, as below, shows something must have happened between August 2021 and December 2021, but what happened?
In 2021 we accepted an investment fraud case from ‘John’, an educated and articulate person. He had lost about 200 thousand GBP by credit cards in over 270 transactions to over 26 fraudulent websites operated by Israeli criminal syndicates, to invest in fraudulent Binary Options and Contracts for Difference. John appreciated our research and analysis work product which be used to explain his case to the UK Financial Ombudsman and other relevant parties.
Then on the 17th August 2021, John accidently copied another party on an email to us, Sarah Levin sarah.l@payback-ltd.com. We recognized that Money Back Ltd. was an Israeli based ‘recovery room’ fraud, John had unwittingly been giving our work product to criminals who were most likely colluding with the original criminals who stole his money, and at the same time the hostile TrustPilot reviews started. We ceased contact with him.
In early 2024, the Money Back Ltd website was seized by the FBI. The www.payback-ltd.com website now shows the FBI logo. However, TrustPilot reviews of Money Back Ltd. are very good, even including “verified” reviewers. TrustPilot now rates a criminal organization, that has been shut down by the FBI, with 4 out of 5 green stars. So if you still think you can trust TrustPilot, then think again.
We do not solicit reviews to be posted on TrustPilot or any other anonymous forum.
That a criminal organisation thought we were threatening enough for them to work against us in this manner is a testament to our effectiveness.
There is one real negative review about us, posted on 24th September 2021, on SiteJabber, where the reviewer writes in complete sentences, indicating he was more educated than the ones on TrustPilot, and of course this was written by, ……John.
